Michelle has 20+ years’ experience in hospitality and is currently studying Property Management to obtain her licence. In the meantime, Michelle has secured self-employment working in a doggy day care to support her transition back into the workforce. Michelle is very excited about this opportunity and feels this role will be very therapeutic to support her mental health.
Geoff has 50 years’ experience as a Transport Operator, however due to limited medical capacity is unable to return to his previous role. With support from Career Shift, Geoff is now independently job seeking using online platforms and developing strong networks. Geoff is undergoing further training to obtain attain updated dangerous good licence, construction white card and fatigue management to increase his employability. As a result, Geoff has secured 2x casual roles as a forklift operator and truck driver.

Lachlan commenced a work trial in a Locksmithing family business on 24/08/20, with a view to securing an apprenticeship as a Locksmith in future.
Grant has self-identified a vocational goal of working with road and dirt bikes. Career Shift have secured a work trial within the motor mechanics industry commencing 24/08/20.
Peter was able to adopt self-marketing strategies introduced through career coaching and has been offered a casual role in a local bottleshop from 21 September 2020.

Career Shift secured a Work Trial for Matthew to commence with Austrak as support to the Project Management Team, which is due to commence in January 2021. In the meantime, Matthew is doing very well in his Diploma in Project Management.
Neda has commenced a host placement with a not-for-profit organisation within the retail industry where she can continue to build on her English skills and customer service skills.
Shane has commenced a host placement with an electrical company and has been given the opportunity to work remotely as a Project Coordinator/Administrator. Additionally, Shane is completing a Certificate III in Electrical Instrumentation, which will compliment his skills and abilities as a qualified Electrician.
Career Shift secured a Work Trial for Luis with Cornerstone Developments. This Work Trial will finish in December 2020. Cornerstone Developments has now offered Luis employment as a full-time Traineeship as a Contracts Administrator to commence in 2021.
Career Shift secured a Work Trial for Paul with Droneit. This Work Trial will finish in December 2020. Paul has now been offered full-time employment to commence in 2021, which he has happily accepted.
Career Shift secured a Work Trial for David with Pet Barn, Arundel, as a Pet Groomer. This Work Trial has now converted into employment. David has been offered a choice of part-time or full-time employment. David elected full-time employment and his contract has been completed.
Jacqueline’s vocational goal was to secure an opportunity in the health industry. She has now commenced a Work Trial at a local doctor’s surgery where she will continue to develop her medical administrative skills.
Paul is looking forward to commencing a work trial in September 2020 with a local business where he will have flexibility of duties within both the RTO and the Drone Operation functions of the organisation.

Michelle has over 30 years experience as a Chef. Michelle’s goal was to change careers and has a vocational goal of being a Property Manager. Michelle has commenced a Diploma in Property Management. Michelle has successfully completed the first 7 units of her course and is now in the process of finalising her registration. Career Shift has secured a Work Trial to help her obtain work experience in the real estate industry.
Maddy was unable to return to her employment, however she was interested working in a school setting as she has a passion for the health and fitness industry. Maddy has secured casual employment as a Netball Coach, training students form an all-girls high school. Maddy aims to commence employment towards the end of July.
Olly came to Career Shift as a 60 year male who had held the same job for 17 years and had never had to job seek, until now. He was unable to return to his previous role as a Boat Repairer, however Career Shift facilitated his transition to car panel beating.
